The main reason is to increase discomfort and stress, no thanks!
It sounds like a strange idea to put yourself in a situation of discomfort and stress. As a human being you try to stay away from these situations, right?
Cold showers put you into something that’s called positive stress. This kind of stress can help you in many areas of your life.
You know from your own experience that comfort isn’t a great thing. Staying in comfort too often keeps you away from opportunities and growth.
How often have you been willing to do something, but then didn’t because it would have made you feel uncomfortable?
Putting yourself in situations where you’re uncomfortable is pretty difficult to do. It can feel like there’s quite a barrier between you and that small step towards success.
If you often feel defeated because of this, cold showers are for you.
When you take a cold shower every day, you put yourself into a short duration of discomfort. This is exactly the reason why you never took cold showers in the first place.
But it’s exactly the reason why you should take cold showers daily.
Increase Discipline & Willpower
Putting yourself in situations of discomfort prepares you for everyday life’s situations. It’s the small wins that prepare you for the biggest challenges in life. Instead of avoiding the difficult situations in life, you now feel in a place of control.
You’ve already trained your mind that you can handle places of discomfort. You’re now combat-ready.

How Do You Take Cold Showers?
Have you tried a cold shower before? Did you set the shower to its coldest possible setting and jumped straight in?
Although this is certainly a way to do it, it’s not a successful way for most people. Personally, I’ve never found much success with this approach either.
Especially not when you’re trying out cold showers for the first time.
An alternative way to do it is by taking your regular warm shower first. This is where I take my shower as per usual. I do this because I don’t have to focus on breathing like a madman. After doing that you switch the shower to its coldest setting. From there just let it the stream of cold water happen while you focus on taking deep breaths.
How Long Should You Take Cold Showers
If you want to see the real health benefits of cold showers, approximately 5 minutes would be great.
I know what you’re thinking, 5 minutes is insane and I don’t have the time for that!
I totally understand that. But try at least to take one cold shower of approximately 5 minutes per week.
For every other day, take these showers for about 30 seconds to 1 minute. The most important thing is that you should do this every day to keep it consistent. Even when you don’t feel like it, do it anyway.
Taking the cold shower for only 1 minute is enough to enjoy the main benefit of this cold exposure.
Do you want to give up something that’s so easy to do?
Cold showers are easy to take but yet hard to do. Almost no one takes them because there are no immediate visible results.
Taking cold showers is a simple way to separate yourself from the masses and become your own warrior.
While you love comfort, you know that this is the exact thing that destroys your dreams. Being able to put yourself into discomfort right now is going to allow you to be uncomfortable in tougher times.
Decide that you take cold showers from today for the rest of your life. Soon you’ll start to see a massive difference in your mindset. It changes the way you think and the way you feel.
After all, who do you want to be as a human being?
